Unstable Electrical Grid

Under prepared for a cat 2 or higher hurricane and nobody seems to care.

2017 was the year that set this area into a very displeased state of mind. Six years of asking the county , the electric company , the state , the forestry to all think about this concept. “Is it a good idea to have every single power line smothered with interfering trees branches?” And to nobodies surprise it all falls on deaf ears. Somehow the electric company the very month of this writing has that cute little 80’s disclaimer that apparently only smart people and little kids can understand which is “Don’t play around power lines”. Above Photo: Evidence that W.R.E.C. knows the danger of obstructions near power lines. Photo 2: Tangled branches around live wires. Not sure who taught who, but both the county commissioners and the electric company seem to operate under a “Do as I say and not as I do” way of conducting business. When you have a house to restore power or have turn on service the electric company asks you to have the main breaker set to OFF. Why do they ask you to do that? It can be a fire hazard they say. When the public asks them to cut trees down to the point there is no way they could fall and take down the grid they seem to laugh. The same inrush current when power is restored is the same as above example for turn on service. If its a fire hazard then , then its also a fire hazard every time the power goes out and comes back on. You cant have it both ways, and when your electronic devices at your house go bad due to the dirty electricity and inrush spikes due to interference trees don’t bother to ask W.R.E.C. to buy you new ones.
